Thailand's new film production incentive program offers cash rebates of up to 30% to foreign film productions starting January 1, 2025. The program aims to attract more foreign film productions to Thailand.
Incentive details
The rebate is based on the amount spent in Thailand
The maximum rebate is 30%
Additional rebates are available for productions that contribute to the Thai film industry
Productions that promote Thai tourism, Soft Power, and positive depictions of the country can earn a 5% bonus
Productions that employ Thai nationals in key roles can earn an additional 5%
Productions that film at designated Department of Tourism locations for at least 25% of the total shooting schedule can earn an additional 3%
Productions that allocate at least 15% of the budget to post-production within Thailand can earn an additional 3%
